Boiling!

So, it started as just another day for us at the Scow household. Isabelle wanted to play with a friend, so we went into the bathroom to do her hair. I'm brushing, and we are chatting, and then I see them. A lot of little hairs on the top of her head sticking straight up. I look, and I think, those used to be long. They were not there yesterday, when I did your hair. So, I sternly, but not yelling, asked, "Did you cut your hair?!?" No. "Isabelle, did you cut your hair!?!?!?!?" Tears! "Tell me now, or it is going to be much worse for you in a minute!" "Wyatt did it." "What?!?!? Why?" "He said he wanted to cut my hair." Lots of tears. I am really proud of myself, because, I kept my cool. I didn't yell. I thought about it, and there were many angels round about me this morning to gird me up. It took a lot not to let loose on her. "Isabelle, if anyone ever says they want to or tries to cut your hair, you tell them no! Only if mom or dad say it is okay." So all morning I have been thinking of really great punishments for Wyatt. First, and most obvious, no DS or tv. For a week. But, before I go nuts on him, I have to get the rest of the story. Isabelle is generally not as innocent as she tries to come off. When I got home from "Messiah" performance last night, Jared told me she had colored all over our little table we have in Wyatt's room. Mind you she colored all over her closet shelf and multiple other things last week, and her wall. She also spread a whole tube of chapstick on her wall. And who knows what else she has colored on that I have yet to find. So,I have been putting all the pens, markers, crayons, and scissors in a bag on top of the fridge. They will now checkout items that are necessary for them, and use them with very close supervision. As if the evidence on Isabelle's head was not enough, here is the rest.
So, needless to say my blood has been boiling, most of the morning. I just hope that I can keep my cool with Wyatt. I was really glad he was at school, so I could calm down a little before we address this situation. So now when you see Isabelle and her hair is parted on the left, it is because of her new haircut. I'm just glad it is easy to cover up, and we didn't have to chop all of her hair of to fix it. I will post the update, after Wyatt gets home from school!
